STEVE BAILEY

OWNER & EXECUTIVE CHEF

At age of 12, Steve was inspired by one of the first ‘celebrity chefs’, Robert Carrier. After following his series extensively, Steve began learning the art of cooking and after graduating from catering college, where he was named Student of the Year in his first year, he began his cookery journey working in one of the country’s top luxury hotels – The Cliveden followed by travelling the world working in top kitchens and eventually being hired as Head Chef by Alison Price & Company back in London. Some highlights from his time there include: A Royal Wedding, a corporate weekend for 10,000 alongside celebrity events for stars like Elton John, Geri Halliwell, George Michael, Joan Collins and Princess Diana – to name drop a few!

All these amazing opportunities only ignited Steve’s passion for cooking and to run his own catering company. With his young family in tow, he moved to Herefordshire to set up a catering business that quickly became the go-to wedding and private party caterer in the area for select clients. If this wasn’t enough, he also opened a deli and café with healthy, homemade produce sold locally and nationally.

When the opportunity came to move back to Surrey and take on Pesto, it was an offer he couldn’t refuse and has never looked back, producing great food and delighting guests is at the heart of everything he does.

EVENT MANAGER

Katie openly admits that she thinks she has ‘one of the best jobs in the world!

After graduating from Winchester Uni with a degree in Event Management, Katie explored various sides of the industry from outside catering to organising the Westminster School Ball for 2000 people. Following this she then jumped into the world of restaurants with the one and only Marco Pierre White. Whilst under MPW’s wing, she was an Event Manager in his Wheelers of St James Restaurant in Fernhurst and then his Banqueting Manager at the Talbot in Ripley.

Narrowing down her passions for the events industry, she decided that weddings were to be her future and she fell in love with Pesto and their passion for great food and exquisite events. Katie prides herself on the small touches by getting to know each client’s individual tastes alongside all the quirks and charms each venue can offer, ensuring each event is exactly what the client had envisaged.

TESSA HOWE

EVENT CATERING SUPPORT AND SERVICES

Tessa is responsible for client liaison, party planning and administration, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to this important role, including over ten years as a private caterer and twelve years with Pesto.

Tessa will guide and advise you on all aspects of your event from small dinner parties to the grandest of weddings. Tessa will be happy to be as involved in the planning and organisation as you wish – no detail is too small to make sure your party goes with a swing and Tessa prides herself on knowing all there is to know about catering events.

DAVE CLISBY

CHEF

David is an integral part of the chef team at Pesto, having worked in many places including Clandon Park and Horsley Towers. He brings a multitude of knowledge and experience of catering on a large scale and is an important part of the team on any event.

KATY NEAL

SENIOR WAITRESS AND PASTRY CHEF

Katy is our Pastry Chef and a Senior Waitress within the team. When she is not working Front of House at our private parties, weddings and corporate functions she can be found whipping up some incredible desserts in the Pesto Kitchen. You should try her vegan brownies!
